When we know, who walks beside us, on this path we have chosen, our fears fall from us.

THE EVERLASTING GATES

Consider the spiritual meaning of the concept of I AM. The I AM concept teaches that man is the image and likeness of God, that we manifest the actual Presence of God. As such, we have dominion over all conditions, but have allowed false belief in limitation to convince us of a need to be self-reliant, Godless, to pull ourselves up “by the secular bootstraps.” The true purpose of all prayer is to embrace the innate Presence of God within and demonstrate the unlimited power of God to help and heal not only in our own lives but also, and possibly more importantly, in others. In this way, others rise in consciousness, passing it on in turn in ever widening circles, raising the group consciousness one person at a time.

A “pure heart” spiritually means to hold unwavering to the belief in an all-embracing, Omnipotent God. “Our Father which art in heaven.” This concept flies in the face of what many interpret “pure heart” to mean, yet makes perfect sense. Our heart becomes “pure” because we believe, have become convinced of the truth in the necessity to turn our will and lives over to the care of God. With this level of understanding, a “pure heart” truly becomes attainable.

To have “clean hands” spiritually does not mean that we have never erred, made mistakes but that we have been cleansed in spirit by our continuing reliance on a power greater than ourselves, demonstrating that reliance by our actions.

Limitation thinking bombards us from all sides. From the nightly world news to casual conversations, fear and limitation a steady drumbeat. Remaining vigilant, turning to the Presence of God in prayer as limitation and morbid reflection attempt to creep into our consciousness we manifest the I Am, a pure heart and clean hands as the very gates of Divine love and intelligence open to greet us.
