Living on the Spiritual Basis requires diligence, being
aware of what are we planting in our spiritual garden, seeking by our actions. To
remain free of the fear driven life we need to ask ourselves daily: Do our
actions mirror our words? Are we trying to impress others, perhaps believing if
they think we are okay, we are? Do we invest in “selling” our side of a story,
leaving out any facts that may paint us in a bad light? Does "guilty with
an explanation" thinking still make sense when trying to justify a bad
decision? Are we surrounded by people who are quick to co-sign whatever we are
selling, while avoiding those who may ask uncomfortable questions or point out
obvious truths we may not want to hear?
Living on the Spiritual Basis has
taught us that the unexamined life leads only to futility and frustration, a
life locked in the bondage of self. So we have learned to be successful and
free we must perform a daily inventory of our spiritual garden and when we
discover a “weed”, and we will from time to time, we gently pluck it and if necessary
discuss it with a trusted spiritual advisor or friend, but always thank the
Miraculous for this marvelous new ability to see mistakes and character flaws
and the continuing willingness to be free of them, a day at a time.
