We are bombarded incessantly by the
world around us: e-mails, texts, phone calls, Social Media, etc. all clamoring
for our attention as never before. And our peace of mind, our serenity suffers
as a result. Quiet time has always been important, but in today’s world it is
imperative. So, set aside some time during the week to be disconnected from the
world. Turn off the phone, shut down the computer, no TV’s or any other sound producing
device left on. Turn around or cover any clock that may catch your eye. Now
read a book, a real one, write (with pen and paper), take a walk in the park or
a hike in nature or just sit quietly experiencing the peace of the moment.
Depending on your circumstances: small children, roommates, uncooperative
spouses etc. you may only be able to do this for a short period but make the
effort.
This exercise in active electronic
inactivity, disconnected from the electronic world, is a demonstration in
willingness to walk the road less traveled, a simple affirmation in action
which opens us to serenity, this simple discipline affirming our true
connection to the Miraculous.

An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto a friend
ReplyDeletewho had been conducting a little homework on this.

lol. So allow me to reword this.... Thanks for the meal!!
But yeah, thanx for spending time to discuss this issue here on your
web site.
Hmm it looks like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I'll just
ReplyDeletesum it up what I had written and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I'm still new to everything.
Do you have any points for novice blog writers? I'd certainly
appreciate it.
I’m not that much of a internet reader to be honest but your blogs really nice, keep it up!
ReplyDeleteI'll go ahead and bookmark your website to come back in the future.

Its such as you learn my thoughts! You seem to grasp
ReplyDeleteso much about this, such as you wrote the guide in it or something.
I think that you just can do with some percent to power the message home a little bit, however instead of that, this is fantastic blog.
A great read. I will certainly be back.
Hi there, just became alert to your blog through Google, and found that
ReplyDeleteit's really informative. I'm gonna watch out for
brussels. I'll appreciate if you continue this in future.
A lot of people will be benefited from your writing.
Cheers!
Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if
ReplyDeleteyou knew of any widgets I could add to my blog that automatically tweet my
newest twitter updates. I've been looking for a
plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience
with something like this. Please let me know if you run into
anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and I look forward
to your new updates.
Hi would you mind letting me know which hosting company you're working with?
ReplyDeleteI've loaded your blog in 3 different web browsers and I must say this blog loads
a lot faster then most. Can you recommend
a good web hosting provider at a honest price? Kudos, I appreciate it!
This design is spectacular! You most certainly know
ReplyDeletehow to keep a reader amused. Between your wit and your videos, I
was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost...HaHa!) Fantastic
job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it.
Too cool!
