"Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are
the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do
hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed
are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in
heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they
shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are
persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and
shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice,
and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so
persecuted they the prophets which were before you." (Matthew 5:1-12)
Blessed.
All are equal in God’s eyes, what determines our demonstration is
practicing the within, without. To believe in the word but fail to live
by the word leads to suffering. When I fail to stand for what’s in my
heart, the truth as I understand it, I am always reminded later by
spiritual discomfort. It typically happens when I am afraid I am going
to offend someone or I don’t want to come across as some kind of “Holy
Roller.” This discomfort is always self inflicted, God doesn’t do it.
So, just for today, by His love and guidance, I will stand for the
truth. And those times when I have feet of clay, His love, guidance and
unconditional forgiveness will set my feet back on the path, removing my
pain, for we are all truly blessed.
